Teen Driving Safety Week

October 20-26 is National Teen Driver Safety Week and this year’s theme is “It Takes Two: Shared Expectations for Teens and Parents for Driving.” With an emphasis on parent involvement, the hope is that parents will teach their teens all aspects of safe driving instead of just the basics.     Reminders of October’s National Teen Driver Safety Week abound. Indeed, about 3,000 teen traffic deaths occurred in 2009, along with more than 350,000 injuries, making it crucial that parents enforce safe-driving rules of the road right from the start.
